Augustinian Youth Day!
The
University of San Agustin celebrate Augustinian Youth Day (AYD) on August 28,
2014 (Thursday) to commemorate the death and give honor to Saint Augustine and
this is one of the highlight feasts of St. Augustine. The Augustinian students
share their talents in sports, literary, musical and dance competitions. There
are lots of kiosks in university you can buy foods, drinks, clothes and also
the Augustinian products like planner, t-shirts and so on. In the Morning there
is a Mass, it is the tradition of the University to offer a mass first. Our teacher assigned us to give the
bookmarks after the mass to our fellow Augustinians.
At 10:00 am the sad-sad is
started the students can’t wait to watch the performance of different
departments their costumes is unique and creative, the College of Management
and Accountancy is one of the participant in sad-sad. In the afternoon there is
AYD Forum in Campus Ministry and Cassiciacum in USA gymnasium.
This Augustinian
Youth Day is so memorable for me because I’m with my friends we enjoy attending
different events and activities. We stroll around the campus and take pictures.
It has been a tradition of this University to highlight this part of the year. This year's Augustinian Youth Day taught us to unite and love.
